Karen is an experienced Solicitor with over twenty-years-experience mainly in the areas of family, public and criminal law. Karen has dealt with numerous complex cases and is an accomplished advocate, having appeared in Civil Courts, Family Courts, Criminal Courts and Tribunals. Karen is qualified as a Higher Rights Advocate (Criminal) and has undertaken advocacy in the Crown Court. Karen started out in a high street firm where she worked on various cases including Family, Wills, Personal Injury and Criminal cases, before joining the CPS where she became a Senior Crown Prosecutor specialising in Domestic Abuse, Rape and Child Abuse cases.  Thereafter, Karen joined a Local Authority handling Care Proceedings in the Child Protection Team before returning to private practice to undertake Family Law and Care Proceedings.  Karen is familiar with all aspects of family law and her criminal experience is often relevant in this area.  Karen’s focus is to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients, whilst supporting them to make difficult decisions in difficult circumstances.  Karen is known for her no-nonsense approach and ability to get alongside clients, providing them with sound advice and someone to rely-on.  Karen also assists the Wills and Probate Team, which she finds worthwhile.
